Arizona Cardinals sent off aggressive tackle Desmond Harrison on Wednesday, beating Washington Redskins back into the free trade package market.
Harrison has issued a vote for his arrest. But it wasn't long ago that Redskins was one of only two teams to claim Harrison after Cleveland released him.
JP Finlay by NBC Sports Washington followed the same trail: "Redskins had abstained from claiming Harrison after he was cut off by Cleveland last month. Interesting to see if they come back involved with uncertainty around Trent Williams." Harrison's situation still needs to be developed, but it's not hard to imagine that Red skins take a look at a guy they were clearly willing to risk it. The shady Trent Williams drama just makes it more logical.
And these Redskins have not been shy about taking risks as recently as this offseason. They grabbed Reuben Foster well before things had played out, as an example.
Given the Williams situation, the red bars will of course be linked to most offensive tackles. With Harrison there is just a little more gas behind it, because they have clearly looked at him.
