The number of teams left in the NBA bubble in Orlando, Florida, is down to just four.
Among them is the Boston Celtics, led by 22-year-old Jayson Tatum, who is battling the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals.
And much of Boston’s deep playoffs have been thanks to the forward, who has retained the hopes he made in his game during the 2019-20 season and through the COVID-19 pandemic break.
Just take a look at his playoff stats to see how his all-round play pitted up against other players left in the bubble, compiled by Brian Robb of the Boston Sports Journal:
PPG: 25.3 (5: e)
RPG: 10.3 (3: e)
APG: 4.6 (eighth)
Double double: 8 (4: e)
+/-: 7.0 (5: e)
As noted by BSJ, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is the only remaining player in the top eight of all these categories.
