While many celebrations have been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, people can still catch dazzling displays from the comfort of their own home.
Independence Day celebrations may look different this year as the coronavirus pandemic has led to many live fireworks across the country being interrupted. But those who want to celebrate the annual vacation can still take dazzling displays from the comfort and security of their own home.
Both PBS and NBC will broadcast their annual fireworks specials on Saturday, with PBS ̵
The Saturday broadcast, hosted by John Stamos and Vanessa Williams, will begin at 8 PM PT / ET and will feature curated performances from Andy Grammer, The Temptations and Chrissy Metz. Yolanda Adams, Trace Adkins, Renée Fleming, John Fogerty, Patti LaBelle and other stars will also appear on the special.

NBC will broadcast Macy’s annual July 4th Fireworks spectacular on Saturday from 8pm to 10pm But this year, New York City celebrations have been rescheduled to encourage social distance.
The retailer’s series of fireworks for Fourth of July began on Monday and continues through Saturday. Each show, from an unintended location in various parts of New York City, will last for five minutes and features a large scale of pyrotechnic work. The short duration of the show was designed to discourage crowds from gathering to watch the screen in person, and Macy’s encourages fireworks fans to stay home and maintain recommended social distance guidelines.
NBC special will host Today anchors Craig Melvin and Dylan Dreyer and presents performances by National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman, Black Eyed Peas, The Killers, Lady A, John Legend, Tim McGraw and Brad Paisley. The fireworks section will feature pictures from the short show from earlier this week and a live grand finale.
