Berkshire Hathaway unveiled the size of its share in Amazon on a Wednesday, weeks after Warren Buffett's e-commerce giant and its CEO, Jeff Bezos.
Buffet's company holds 483,300 Amazon shares worth $ 860.6 million at the end of its last quarter on March 31, according to 13F filing. At current stock prices, the stake is worth more than $ 900 million.
Buffett confirmed the company's investment in Amazon at Berkshire Hathaway's annual shareholder meeting earlier this month but did not initially disclose the size of the gig. "Omaha Oracle" told CNBC at the time when one of his employees made the decision.
"I've been a fan [of Amazon] and I've been an idiot not to buy," he said. 1
