There were lots of hands that touched hands and reached Friday night in Colorado.
It was because the musical legend Neil Diamond sang "Sweet Caroline" when he performed a surprise single man show for firefighters who fought with the state's lake Christine Fire.
Diamond and his wife Katie McNeil visited Rocky Mountain Team Black's incident command post near Basalt, FOX 31 in Denver reported. Basalt is about 180 miles west of Denver.
"(A) An incredible event for the team and crew," led team members afterwards on Facebook.
More than 400 firefighters have fought Lake Christine blaze, which started on July 3, but only 45 percent contained Saturday reported Fox 31.
The fire is expected to be fully contented next week, the report reported.
Richard Miller, 23, and Allison Marcus, 22, both of El Jebel, Colo., Accused of firing fire by shooting track balls at a Basalt shooting area on July 3. FOX 31 was reported.
In January, 77-year-old Diamond announced that he retired from a tour, revealing he had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
He said at the time that he planned to focus on songwriting and recording.
