Scarlet Witch has been an important part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since it first appeared as a flawed opponent in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Her character has gone from fighting to fighting with the Avengers; she even came to boast a rather romantic arc with Vision (who died in the infinity War). But what is the plan for Wanda Maximoff to move on? What will happen in Wanda Vision and Doctor Strange in Multiverse of Madness? And will the character stick around for the other weird part?
‘WandaVision’ and ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’
Reports indicate that Wanda Vision will loosely follow House of M series, with some exceptions to account for the already cemented deviations between the source material and the MCU. In the upcoming Disney + show, Wanda’s broken heart and cracked mental state will lead her to Vision back to life – along with a couple of children who would have made for the perfect loving family.

Wanda Vision will be both a high octane, production at the film level and one I love Lucy-esque sitcom that will surely cast Marvel movie enthusiasts for a loop – a positive hopefully. If Wanda breaks reality, it is likely that Doctor Strange will come in to deal with her destruction and deal with the cracks in the multiverse she is causing. Such a series of events will probably (according to several reports) be segmented directly into Doctor Strange in Multiverse of Madness?
Will Wanda accept her life as it is? Can she heal – mentally and emotionally – and accept a world without all the loved ones she has lost? Will she return for help instead of hindering Avenger’s mission? Can she move on without a twin brother and potential life partner? If so, she could stand by Strange’s side when he will form a very important academy.
Will Wanda Maximoff become a professor at Strange Academy?
Some reports suggest that Marvel Studios may take a page from the Harry Potter books and create Strange Academy. The Disney + series or potential movie company would follow a new graphic novel about the institution led by Sorcerer Supreme himself.

When it comes to Strange Academy, it’s a place where young magicians have to learn about magical ways after returning to the Marvel world in a warped form (which can play as a result of Scarlet Witch’s actions in the MCU). In the series by Humberto Ramos with illustrations by Scotty Young, Scarlet Witch is one of the many professors that Doctor Strange uses to sculpt the young minds.
After fighting battles and taking on intergalactic threats – all while losing the ones most important to her – Strange Academy was able to give Scarlet Witch a new purpose. She may retain a significance beyond combat – a meaning to mentor those who will defend the earth, as well as many other planets across galaxies far and wide. From a reality fighter to a professor: such can be Wanda’s journey.
