The People Party jumps on the climate discussion with the opposite sign. It is not without risks during the election year.
The style has been the same. If the SVP does something of the subject, she adopts the verbal two hand. From a "left green raid in the middle class" is the number. From the "devil", "patronize" and "state transformation".
Yet the topic that is plowed new is as an election campaign room for SVP relations. While the party has drawn slogans on immigration or independence from elections to elections to success in recent years, it is now turning to the left of environmental and tax policy.
Left and green shamelessly use our wallet. 19659006] This has only one goal: to remove the people's hard earned money and redistribute, explains party party Albert Rösti at a media conference: "Left and green use shamelessly in our purse."
"Left wants to delete the economy" 19659008] In a 40-page paper, SVP lists a whole series of demands from the SP, the Group and the Green Liberals kitchen and calculates – from its perspective – what a family of four would cost per year: over CHF 20,000, SVP claims.
Companies would also hit the environment hard, criticized SVP National Councilor Diana Gutjahr, in the Roman shorn leading a steel and metal construction company with about 80 employees: "20 cents more for gasoline and the introduction of a toll would cost us 60,000 francs a year . "
He does not dispute global climate change, says SVP head Rösti in the difference to other party's figureheads. And man also has influence on it. But one cannot solve the problem by deleting the Swiss economy.
A Climate Change
"If we only load these companies with taxes, they will no longer be competitive. The goods are then imported from South America, food from all over the world. And then we have made the climate a dissatisfaction." Because in many low-producing countries, environmental and climate protection is not at all a problem. It is therefore much more important to keep the Swiss economy flourishing so that it can develop innovations that would contribute to climate protection.
Confidence despite a green wave
SVP jumps to the current climate discussion – but with the opposite sign. A election strategy not without risk. The party's experts from agriculture have already commented critically on this course.
The party leader is still convinced that the SVP farmers will be loyal: "Especially if you put more on agriculture, it is no longer competitive. Foreign products, especially cheaper meat, are imported. Our farmers understand it very well." The only one against taxes
Summer heat also brings bourgeois voters who advocate state intervention in the environmental and climate sector? That is the big question in the election in the fall.
FDP's delegates are obviously convinced of this and on Saturday, to For example, voted for a tax on airline tickets, but perhaps this green of the liberals at the end of the SVP helps. It can now claim to be the only party with a good conscience to fight higher taxes.
