Ståhlmannen from Viksjö always thrives and makes good results at Sollentunavallen.
Daniel Ståhl hit with 71.37 – the discus star’s second longest throw in his career and also the new world year best.
– Has worked really hard with the technology lately. This spring I was extremely strong and technically poor. But now I’m starting to come back to last year. Long lengths now too, so it feels really good. It will be longer, but 71.37 is really good, says Daniel Ståhl to friidrott.se.

After just over 68 meters and a subsequent cross, the full hit came that Daniel Ståhl missed so far in 2020 in the third throw round.
To his disappointment, however, the red flag came up. The referee thought Ståhl had touched the ring. But after protests and video review, the decision was changed – and the cast was approved.
