Suspected in Ortiz shooting was offered $ 7.8K

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic – Six suspects, including the alleged shooter, have been detained in the shot of former Red Sox star David Ortiz, the Prosecutor of the Dominican Republic said Wednesday.

Other suspects also tried the shot as witnesses said were performed by two men on a motorcycle and two other groups of people in cars.

"At the moment, they are interrogated and we will continue to deepen the investigation to come to the truth of what happened," said main actor Jean Alain Rodriguez.

"No one involved in this deplorable episode will remain impunity, not even the material or intellectual writer" of the crime, he said.

The authorities have refused to give a motive to shoot at a popular Santo Domingo bar on Sunday evening.

Among the suspected guardians is the alleged shooter, identified by the authorities as Rolfy Ferreyra, aka Sandy.

Police May. Ney Aldrin Bauti sta Almonte said the alleged coordinator of the attack was offered 400,000 Dominican pesos, or about $ 7,800, to perform the shot. He said the alleged coordinator is also among those in storage.

Among the other suspects who were still large were Luis Alfredo Rivas Clase, aka Surgeon, as well as a woman called Venezuelan or Red, and two other men, Prosecutors said in a statement.

At the same time, in Ortiz's wife in the statement said the former Red Sox slugger could sit up and take a few steps as he recovers in the intensive care at Massachusetts General Hospital.

"His condition is guarded, and he will remain in the ICU for the next few days, but he is making good progress towards recovery," Tiffany Ortiz said in the statement.

Prosecutors have said that the two men on the motorcycle were seen on security camera photography talking to other people in a gray Hyundai Accent and in another Hyundai on a nearby street before the shot.

One of suspects, Oliver Moises Mirabal Acosta, was seen driving the Accent before assembling a motorcycle run with 25-year-old Eddy Vladimir Feliz Garcia, the prosecutors said in a legal document.

"In one of the videos it was possible to observe both the accused and the shooter who is planning the commission of the incident directly on Octavio Mejia Ricard Street, which is parallel to the place where the event occurred," the prosecutors said.

The document also revealed inability and said that motorcycle driver Feliz Garcia was caught after he shot and dropped off his bike when the couple tried to escape. Enraged fans caught Feliz Garcia and beat him bloody before handing him over to police.

The Mirabal Acosta was captured on Tuesday night in the city of Mao in the northern Dominican Republic.

Feliz Garcia's lawyer said his client, who has been charged with being an accomplice for attempting murder, is an innocent motorcycle taxi driver who had no idea that his passengers would commit a crime.

"He didn't know what to do. He's a fan of David's" lawyer Deivi Solano said Tuesday.

The 43-year-old Ortiz often travels to Santo Domingo, where his father and a sister live. He was active on the social scene there and hit the night pot with friends who included TV personalities and Dominican reggaeton musicians.

Loved in their hometown, Ortiz traveled the dangerous streets of the Dominican capital with little or no security and trusted his fans to protect him, according to friends.

The Dominican Republic is one of the world's most dangerous countries. The murder is at 1

2.5 murders per 100,000 people, meaning the Dominican Republic is in the top 10% to 15% of the world's most violent countries, according to the US Department of State.
