SportsPulse: Kevin Durant is on his way to Brooklyn and may have just created the new super team. As Jeff Zillgitt explains, despite the fact that Durant is unlikely to be available throughout the next season, the nets are in the top position for years.

It has been a busy few weeks in the NBA, because big names have been on their way since the free office began on June 30.

The Golden State Warriors have been right in the middle of all that action, as they lost Kevin Durant to the Brooklyn Nets and then distinguished themselves with the Andre Iguodala (via trade) and Shaun Livingston (abstained) pins.

On Thursday, we found out what Steph Curry was thinking about the state of the warriors when he talked to the media after a practice round at the American Tahitian Championships Celebrity Golf Tournament.

Curry opened up in an extended Q&A session on Durant's exit with the kind of diplomatic answer one would expect from Curry.

"The three years we had were special," Curry sai d via Mercury News . "With KD we had three straight finals. We won two of them and we achieved a lot as a group. Everyone talks about how much talent we had on our team, but it doesn't guarantee that you can figure out the court that you can put All bits together to be successful. I'm really proud of what we accomplished. "The beauty of the free agency is that everyone has a decision, everyone has a choice. You want to find your happiness anywhere. The beauty of the NBA is that everyone has that decision at some point, especially guys who deserve it, like KD and other top-notch agents. I like to look at what we achieved and focus on it and be extremely proud of this run we had. Now we have to recreate it in terms of what it means ahead. "

Curry also talked about the new addition D & # 39; Angelo Russell, who came to Golden State in a trade agreement with the network.

" The noise he made last year was amazing, what they did in Brooklyn and he took the next rose as a certified All Star, "Curry said." I have not had much personal interaction with him, on or off court other than playing against each other. Back when he arrived there were some comparisons of our game, how smooth he played, he could shoot, he could pass. Having a guy who is versatile will only help your team.

"The chemistry will be developed quickly. We will be really careful about it and try to set the tone of how we will play this year. It is about encouraging each other and having confidence that we will make the most of each other. Klay (Thompson) returns, we add him to the backcourt mix. It'll be fun. "

Curry picked up the loss of Iguodala and Livingston, both key members of all three Warrior's latest championship teams.

"It's a tough business. It's part of it," Curry said. "We knew sometime, if it was this year or next year or the following year, there would be some difficult decisions, some difficult changes."

"You are talking about Andre and Shaun, two guys doing the right thing, with the ultimate level of professionalism and leadership, and just presence when they go in the room, making them the way they are, three-hour champs , both. They have a lot left in the tank. "

Finally, Curry expressed optimism about the new challenges ahead.

"It's a difficult way to finish the final with KD and Klay gets hurt and apparently free agency" Curry said, "For us, our core, myself, Klay, Draymond (Green), who adds D & # 39; Angelo and many hungry, young guys trying to prove themselves in the league, it will look different in terms of lineups and things like that. But the expectations of how we play, this championship calendar, will always be motivation and challenge. "[19659020] It will be interesting to see how the war arena bounces off next season, but you know that Curry has fun trying to lead them through their new challenges.
