US Silicon maker Qualcomm is currently enjoying Hawaii, but in addition to sipping on May Tais, the company's execs also announce great news. For one, the name and specifications of its next chipset.
It seems like an official announcement later this evening, it seems that some things can no longer be secret in the technology world.
The German publication WinFuture, which leaked a comprehensive list of specifications, confirmed that the chip will be called Snapdragon 855.
The 7nm-based node will have a 5G modem and a built-in NPU (for AI, of course).
For players, the chipset comes with "Snapdragon Elite Gaming Optimisations", the Adreno sports the 640 GPU, and has three clusters in a four-story core design.
TSMC is made to manufacture the chip.
More information will likely be presented after Qualcomm's official announcement.
