Miami dolphins signs cornerback Xavien Howard for a record five years, $ 76.5 million extension which includes $ 46 million guaranteed, making him the highest paid corner of the NFL, sources of ESPN's Adam Schefter told.
Howard, 25, will receive $ 51 million over the first three years of the new deal, a source told ESPN's Cameron Wolfe.
Howard had seven interceptions in 12 games last season, tied for the league best and made his first career Pro Bowl. He has 11 interceptions in his over 17 games.
He would set up just over $ 1.3 million in 2019, the last year of his rookie agreement. Cornerback was the 38th overall pick of 2016 by Baylor.
