Here is a summary of the stories right now at www.democratandchronicle.com.
Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty said a police from Geneseo made a traffic jam for a "simple traffic law" at 17:47 on Route 63 near Dewey Hill.
A man and woman were in the car with North Carolina signs.
At a press release late Wednesday, Dougherty identified suspiciously as David Clyde Morgan, 49, Wilmington, North Carolina. "His h not the story is violent, "said Dougherty. "He has served prison."
"We believe that (Morgan) did not fire the shot," said Dougherty. "The preliminary report is that he pointed to the weapon and the Geneseo officer burned a round back."
Dougherty said there is the dashboard camera's photograph of the event. "It's very preliminary and I stress it," said Dougherty.
Morgan and the woman fled both. The woman was taken into storage shortly after, but Morhgan remains great, said Dougherty. Deputies called for a closure in Fall Brook for the report of a "suspected possible armed". No one was injured during the exchange.
Morgan is 5 meters, 9 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He was last seen in a gray shirt or long sleeve shirt.
Deputies established a perimeter that included some nearby homes and cornfields, said Dougherty. "As you know, this is a rural terrain and we definitely can not say that the suspect is still here right now," said Dougherty.
"We have plenty of horsepower here," said Dougherty, noting that the deputies were connected by the Geneseo Police Department, the New York State Police and the Monroe County Sheriff Office.
The state police helicopter and Livingston County SWAT were both in place. The woman talks with investigators, said Dougherty. But they do not think the couple is from the area. clarifying the suspect is a white man, estimated in his 40's and about £ 9,200 pounds. Unlike the rumors, he is not in custody and his place of residence is still unknown. @NiagaraSheriff helicopter and @nyspolice helicopter continues to search over the head.
