Late choreographer Saroj Khan’s daughter has said that she worked irregularly because of her health, and that several of her old collaborators used to check her often. Saroj died on Friday, after a cardiac arrest. She was 71.
In an interview with ETimes, her daughter Sukaina said: “She got offers to work, but at the same time because of her age and health she wanted to take a place. But still, she did a couple of jobs. She had actresses who learned, including Alizeh Agnihotri, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, Saiee Manjrekar – all these girls trained under her. So she considered herself very lucky and joined Bollywood equally. She went into TV very soon. And I think Bollywood started to accept the fact that she liked TV more than Bollywood, while Bollywood was in her blood. She couldn̵
Sukaina added: “Everyone was in contact. Madhuri’s wife, Subhash ji, Jackie ji, Govinda sir, everyone kept calling her and calling me too. They would ask me about her health and how she was doing. When they heard the news, they were all shocked as we were. We did not expect something similar to come here. “

Several members of the film and television industry paid tribute to Saroj with heartfelt messages. In an emotional Instagram video, Govinda said he hopes her soul is at peace. He recalled their first meeting and said in Hindi: “I came to you and wanted to learn dance. But I didn’t have money.
