In the last 24 hours, 1767 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported, the highest number of coronavirus infections to date. 24,544 were made. Another 47 infected Romanians died, while 498 patients are in hospital in intensive care.
To date, as of September 23, in Romania, 116,415 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.
93,558 patients were declared cured.
After the tests performed at national level, compared to the latest report, 1767 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.
In addition to the recently confirmed cases, 681 people were confirmed after a new test of patients who were already positive.
To date, 4,550 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.
Between 22.09.2020 (10:00) – 23.09.2020 (10:00) 47 deaths were registered (35 men and 12 women). , Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brașov, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Sibiu, Suceava, Tulcea, Vâlcea and Bucharest.
Of these, 2 deaths were registered in the age group 20-29 years, 3 deaths in the age group 40-49 years, 5 deaths in the category 50-59 years, 10 deaths in the age group 60-69 years, 16 deaths in the age group 70-79 years and 11 deaths in the category over 80 years.
45 of the registered deaths were of some patients who showed comorbidities, one deceased patient did not present comorbidities and for 1 deceased patient no comorbidities have been reported so far.
In the specialized health units, there are a total of 0661 people in hospitals with COVID-19. Of these, 498 are in hospitals at ATI.
To date, 2,278,125 tests have been processed at the national level. Of these, 24,544 were performed in the last 24 hours, 15,165 based on the case definition and the medical record and 9,379 on request.
Since the latest information provided by GCS, the results of 201 tests that were treated before the last 24 hours and were sent until 23 September were also reported.
In Romania, 8,917 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated at home and 6,959 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 23,442 people are quarantined at home and 179 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
During the last 24 hours, 1011 calls have been registered to the unique emergency numbers 112 and 543 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open specifically to inform citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 concerning certain measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied in the last 24 hours 511 penalties for minor crimes, amounting to 114 024 lei.
Through the competent structures of the police, a crime was also found yesterday to counteract the fight against diseases, an act provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.
We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has started on 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of hygiene protection standards can be reported.
The call is taken over by a sender in an integrated system and distributed to the territorial structures for verification of the reported problems.
