Robert Kraft uses the Patriots plane to get 1.2 million masks from China for healthcare professionals

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is stepping in to help doctors care for coronavirus patients. A patriots plane full of much-needed protective equipment for healthcare professionals is reportedly on its way to Massachusetts from China. The aircraft departed from Shenzhen, China shortly after 3:30 a.m. on its way to Logan International Airport with 1.2 million N95 masks, according to the Wall Street Journal. It was only allowed on the ground for three hours as workers in masks and full-body suits loaded boxes on the plane. According to Politico, Kraft will join Gov. Charlie Baker to greet the plane when it arrives on Thursday in Boston. The deliveries will then be transported by the National Guard to a warehouse in Marlborough. The aid comes after the governor for weeks described attempts to order personal protective equipment, only to be overburdened by the federal government and other countries. Baker indicated on Wednesday that he would have more to say about efforts to get supplies to Massachusetts.
