The search for an ambulance in Paderne in Albufeira municipality left four people seriously injured on Monday.
The second source from the Faro District Relief Operations Center (CDOS), cited by Jornal de Notícias, belonged to the ambulance of a private company. The check took place at 9 am at the Paderne access node on the Lisbon-Algarve motorway (A2) and Sagres Via del Infante (A22).
The causes of the accident are still unknown.
