YouTuber Bjorn Nyland decided to check the time when Tesla Model 3 Performance is lost, when the driver is very in a hurry. It turned out that if we stay within the range to 210-215 km / h and there is typical traffic on the highway, the car, even if it limits maximum power, will restore it quickly.

The car had no spoiler, so its maximum speed was limited to "only" 233 instead of full 262 km / h. Uusland swung around 190-210 kilometers, although it sometimes accelerated to maximum.
After driving 27 kilometers – or 25 with speeds between 190 and 233 km / h – the car does not allow to accelerate above 227 km / h. The battery level dropped to 74 percent.
At the shutdown at which the youtubes decided to return (31.6 km, 71 percent battery), a small noise of fans began at about 100 km / h in the background, but the maximum power limit was almost immediately it disappeared. Another important factor may be the construction of engines. In Tesla Model S and X there are induction motors on both axles. In the Tesla Model 3 Dual Motor, the induction motor is only located on the front axle, while the rear is driven by a permanent magnet motor. This design gives less heat, which is of great importance when you consider that the cooling system needs to cool the battery and the motors.
