As of May 7, a temporary traffic organization will be in operation on the S3 expressway that is being built. The northern part of Legnica II and the highway links will be included in traffic (in the end Legnica Południe) and drivers will be able to use two S3 roadways at a distance of about 6.5 km.
The traffic from the A4 motorway will be two roads, two in the direction of Legnica to Legnica Zachód nod on ul. Chojnowska. Legnica Południe opens the following directions: Legnica – Wrocław – Legnica and Legnica – Jędrzychowice – Legnica. However, the southern part of the intersection remains closed, ie against Jelenia Góra. On the remaining part, about 15 km long, the contractor plans to translate traffic from the western road to the eastern lane. The traffic is redirected to the village Chróstnik to the Legnica Zachód node, from the right (western) road to the left (east) road. There, traffic will take place in two directions.
The planned changes are related to the workplace and allow further work on existing section DK3 and on the western road S3, where the contractor must complete the surface work and perform horizontal marking. However, GDDKiA Wrocław Branch stipulates that the date of planned changes may change due to weather conditions. At the same time, GDDKiA appeals to drivers to be careful and to follow the changes introduced in road marking, especially speed restrictions and overruns, in places where construction work will be carried out.
Recall that the construction of the S3 highway on the Nowa Sól-Legnica section, task V, is a section with a length of over 22 km, whose contractor is a consortium of Budimex SA and Ferrovial Agroman SA. The contract date is 15/06/2013.
