Archer was removed from Monday's start to Braves after the fourth injury due to discomfort in his left leg, Bill Brink in Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

The training staff came out to control him, and while he stayed in the game shortly after he did not return for the fifth inning. He was not very efficient and needed 76 seats (50 strikes) to get through four frames, but could limit the damage to a run of five hits and a walk while they knocked out three. He left with Pirates behind 1

-0. The pirates say his removal was a precaution, and he should be considered doubtful for Sunday's planned start in Milwaukee.
