Satellite study reveals wide range of melting ice shelves in Antarctica



The ice that hangs off the edge of Antarctica and floats on the ocean melts faster than it fills up, even in the pockets of eastern Antarctica that are normally considered less vulnerable to climate change, according to a study published on Monday.
