Overwatch's new McCree buff is much bigger than it seems

The latest surveillance PTR has brought some new features that are large enough to overshadow the balance changes, but there is a McCree buff where the players begin to take part. Gunslingers have had a small increase to their recovery time, but it is a bigger deal than what seems – even if it is not as neat as the new gambling function.

McCree's primary fire recovery time has decreased from 0.5 seconds to 0.4 seconds. In the developer's comments, Blizzard says, "On average, McCré's injury output was not quite right for the relatively low mobility or benefit of his kit. Reducing his recovery time enhances the potential damage output without affecting the number of successful shots to kill an enemy." [1

9659002] The percentage of one second may not seem so much, but as Dexerto notes, the players soon played the apparent comparison GIF is night and day. If you actually look at the numbers, then it makes the people of Reddit feel more meaningful. The little boost in recovery time means that McCree's DPS has increased from 140 to 175 (not ready for reloader).

It remains to be seen whether this buffet will beat the live game in its current form, but it may soon be high dinner in surveillance. Check out the complete PTR notes for yourself.
