LINDEN, N.C. – Deputies in North Carolina on Saturday took a tractor trailer that contained $ 90.8 million worth of liquid methamphetamine in the driver's fuel tank, WTVD reported.
Raul Topete Arreola, 49, and Aquileo Perez Pineda, 48, were accused of three bills of trade in methamphetamine, according to the Harnett County Sheriff Office.
Deputies said they found 120 liters of liquid meth in the tank, WTVD reported. Harnett County Sheriff Wayne Coats said it could be converted to 454 kilograms of crystal meth, which would have an estimated street worth of almost 91 million dollars.
The vehicle concerned was a Peterbilt 2009 and was arrested in Linden, WTVD reported.  The two suspects remain in the Harnett County Detention Center under a $ 3 million bond, WTVD reported.
