Former NOS journalist and former president of government information agency Eef Brouwers (79) have gone away. The newspaper of the North reports this by the Brouwers family.
Brouwers worked in the 1970s and 1980s as a journalist for, among other things, NOS. From 1973 to 1977 he was the presenter of NOS-Journaal and Studio Sport. From 1977 to 1982, Brouwer's editor-in-chief of Nieuwsblad van het Noord was the forerunner of Dagblad van het Noord.
1983 wrote Brouwers goodbye to journalism and became information director at Philips. In the mid-nineties Brouwers began to be Director General at the Government Information Service. As spokesman for both the Prime Minister (twice Wim Kok and twice Jan-Peter Balkenende) and the royal house, he was confronted with the essence of Jorge Zorreguieta, Princess Mabel and Princess Margarita.
Brouwers stopped with the Government Information Service, then served as media advisor for the Dutch national team in the run-up to the European Football Championship in Portugal.
