The first edition of the “Casablanca International HipHop Festival On-line Edition” will be held from 7 to 28



The Ali Zaoua Foundation is organizing, from 7 to 28 August, the first edition of the “Casablanca International HipHop Festival On-line Edition”.

“This first edition of the festival will highlight three major disciplines in HipHop culture around four main highlights, where a dozen international artists will participate as members of the juries,” the organizers announced in a press release.

The program for this cultural event is Worldwide Dance Battle (1st edition). This is a solo competition that starts in two categories, namely HipHop and Funk. This competition is judged, according to the organizers, by three big names on the global hip-hop scene, namely Tweet boogie (international dancer and choreographer who has worked with a number of stars, such as 50 Cent, Shakira, Mary J Blige or Janet Jackson), German Storm and French Kane Wung.

Also on the menu, the third Moroccan Beatbox Championship. The championship will be carried this year by the world champion Alhexinho (France) 201

8, the four-time French champion KIM (France) and the first Moroccan champion Double M (Morocco – Oujda).

The initiators of the first edition of the “Casablanca International HipHop Festival On-line Edition” have planned to organize the 1st Royal Jam beatbox. This international beatbox competition, the first of its kind in Morocco, invites artists from the region, from Europe but also across the Atlantic, to meet an exceptional jury consisting of international champions in their category.

But that’s not all!

In addition to the competition, hip-hoppers from all over the world, regardless of level, will have the opportunity to discover their favorite artists from a different angle and benefit from their advice thanks to the workshops that will be posted online from this month – here on the official festival page @Casablancahiphopfestival (instagram and Facebook).

Please note that the Casablanca International HipHop Festival is a project organized in collaboration with the US Embassy, ​​the French Embassy in Morocco, the Dar America Cultural Center, the Goethe Institute and the French Institute in Casablanca.
