Dn a press release, a copy of which reached the MAP on Thursday night, the Minister of Energy, Mines and Environment, Aziz Rabbah, announced that he has conducted screening tests for coronavirus (Covid-19), which proved to be positive.

Aziz Rabbah is the second minister infected with Covid-19, after Transport Minister Abdelkader Amara. The latter had tested positive in March, at the beginning of the pandemic in Morocco. He was reportedly affected by the disease below “An official visit to a European country”
Other members of the political class have already been affected by the coronavirus. In August, it was the elected PJD Amina Maelainine who announced that she had tested positive, a few weeks after contamination of members of the House of Representatives.
Recently, a member of the House of Councilors administration also tested positive and forced the other chamber to run a test battery to test staff.
