A man from Surinam was arrested on the A1

highway in Somme on Wednesday of the Picardy wrecks, with 1.7 kg of cocaine in the stomach, reports Le Parisien . This is a record confiscation regarding this procedure for drug transport.

He was arrested on a bus from Orly to Amsterdam in a simple routine check. His behavior seemed suspicious of the customs officials in the Nogent-sur-Oise Brigade.

The man had taken more than one hundred ova, which corresponded to 1.7 kg of cocaine for an estimated value of 70 000 euros. The Surinamese resident of the Netherlands was still trying to escape from the security forces.

Instead of returning to Amsterdam through a direct flight between Suriname and the Netherlands (directed at Dutch authorities), he had taken from Guyana to France to take a bus that was bound to Amsterdam.
