The Nouvelle Aquitaine Regional Agency (ARS) in Bordeaux announced on Thursday morning the first results of the free test campaign carried out in the Chartrons and Grand-Parc districts since July.
In Chartrons, eight of the 1,489 tests performed were found to be positive for Covid 19, ie a percentage of 0.53%. The screening organized at Grand Parc allowed 992 samples, of which three were positive, ie. 0.3%.
According to Olivier Serre, Territorial Director at ARS Nouvelle Aquitaine, these figures show a “situation that is not at all worrying, although we can see, he explained late last week, that the virus continues to circulate quietly.”
People diagnosed as positive were placed within two weeks under the supervision of ARS, as well as the case contacts related to them.
However, the screening campaign continues in Bordeaux, on the quays every day, near the Place des Quinconces. You can come without a prescription, with only your important card and identity card, and of course without making an appointment. There is also free screening and always at Mérignac Airport.
