Takeoff, a rapper from the popular hip-hop group Migos, has been accused of sexual assault in a civil trial that was heard on Wednesday morning in Los Angeles Superior Court.

The compensation, which was reported anonymously by the female victim, claims that Takeoff, whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball, persecuted and raped the woman at an LA party in June. Allegations in the suit include sexual battery, abuse, false imprisonment, sexual violence and interference with civil rights.

According to the complaint, the woman was invited by Daryl McPherson (aka Migos associate DJ Durel) to the party on June 22. She noticed during the evening that Ball, 26, was staring at her and he offered her marijuana, which made the plaintiff feel uncomfortable.

After leaving the conversation, the woman told McPherson that she did not want an intimate relationship with Ball. McPherson offered to take her to her upstairs room, but when Ball encountered them, the two men argued and Ball followed the plaintiff to the bedroom. The suit alleges that Ball raped the woman after she refused his sexual advances.

The woman went to a hospital the same day and staff observed “physical evidence of violent rape” and notified the LAPD. No criminal charges have yet been filed in the case.

“Our client is terrified,” the woman’s lawyer, Neama Rahmani, said in a statement. “She has already been sacrificed because of the incident and continues to fall victim to Takeoff being a free man and has not yet been arrested. We hope the law enforcement continues its investigation more aggressively so that she can get the criminal justice she deserves. ”

Representatives of Ball have not yet responded to US TODAY’s request for comment, and US TODAY has also contacted the LAPD about the status of its investigation.

In 2018, Migos member Offset was arrested on charges of felony gun in Georgia, and the same year, three people – including McPherson – were charged in North Carolina when police found 420 grams of marijuana on the group’s tour bus.
