Leaked benchmarks show performance and specifications for AMD's next generic mobile Ryzen



What has just happened? In recent days, Geekbench has achieved 4 results for three new AMD mobile processors. Ryzen 3 3200U, Ryzen 3 3300U and Ryzen 5 3500U. Geekbench leaks have been very reliable in the past, so an average performance improvement of 25% is a big deal.

Last year, AMD marketed its first generation of mobile processors as a generation ahead, and apparently they will do it again. All of these 3000-series processors use the Raven Ridge architecture and Vega graphics, which means they will probably be 12nm-based as Ryzen 2000 desktop processors. Like the previous generation, they all have a 4MB cache and 15W TDP.

According to Geekbench, the Ryzen 3 3200U shares the same two cores, four wire configurations as 2200U but has a bass clock that is 1

00 MHz faster at 2.6 GHz. The startup clock remains unknown, but must be much higher for the chip to claim an impressive single core of 3588 (25% increase) and a multi-core performance of 6924 (24% increase), on a 14 "laptop with 10GB of RAM.

Reduction of RAM to 6GB gave performance 3% and 5% on 17 and 14 inch laptops while reduced to 3.5GB, bringing performance to 11% on another 14 "model. Puzzlingly, the chip's score went down 35% in a comparison, but it probably depends that another application is open or something else wrong because it achieved full performance two minutes later.

AMD seems to have followed the same strategy for Ryzen 3 3300U, which holds the same four cores, four wire configurations from 2300U, but the bass clock increases slightly to 2.1Ghz. The 3300U was only benchmarked once in a 17-inch laptop with 10GB of RAM, achieving a single core result of 3654 (25% increase) and a number of core results of 9686 (24% increase).

Ryzen 5 3500U is the same as 3300U, only with multi-threading enabled. Double the number of network wires, it has a single core point of 3870 (23% increase) and a 11284 (32% increase) multi-core score on a 17 "laptop with 14GB of RAM. This sets the processor slightly over 3300U and in the same performance as the latest generation 2700U and Intel i5-8250U.

A second Geekbench mail suggests that the 3500U can come in two different power configurations, as a smaller 14-inch model with the same 14GB RAM achieved a single core score of 3776 and a multicore result on 9787, which is only 20% and 14% better than 2500U.

According to Apisak a small leaker, 3700U and 300U will also be designated. SiSoftware and User Benchmark lists show both 3700U that have identical specifications to 2700U, which seems unlikely and there is nothing at all at 300U. We have to wait and see.

Overall, AMD sees a strong mobile set-up next year. The current genre Ryzen mobil was launched at the beginning of the year, so it's probably possible that AMD will announce them soon, maybe even at CES.
