One of the revelers at the wild, caught-on-video pool parties at Lake Ozarks during Memorial Day weekend has tested positive for coronavirus, it was revealed Friday.
And the party was already sick when he or she joined the non-socially distant pleasure, officials said – and so may have spread the virus to others who were there.
“The case arrived here on Saturday and developed disease on Sunday, so it was likely that it was growing sick and possibly infectious at the time of the visit,” the Camden County Health Department said in a press release.
Officials also released a timeline for the infected party’s activity to help track down people who may have come into contact with them.
The unidentified person, a resident of Boone County nearby, defied the state’s social distance orders to settle their farewell at a bar called Backwater Jacks – where they stopped from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
The parties then spent some time at the waterfront restaurant and live music venue Shady Gators and Lazy Gators Pool until 2 p.m. 9
On Sunday, the carousel ate lunch at the Buffalo Wild Wings before returning to the Shady Gators – left at about 2 p.m.
Camden County has not reported any new cases of COVID-19 this week, officials said.
