A manhunt is going on for a suspected hitman in Canada who was caught on video during an alleged job this fall – where he posed as a delivery guy and shot a homeowner with an elbow he had hidden inside a package, according to police.
"This was definitely a targeted type of attack," Peel Police It. Sgt. Jim Kettles told reporters at a press conference on Monday. "The elbow was never removed from the box."
Monitoring film shows the test killer, who seems to wear a wig, stands outside the victim's door with a cardboard box – which had a hole that cut it at one end so the arrow could shoot through.
"It is obvious that this attack was intended to end the victim's life," Kettles said. "Comments to the victim (by the suspect) indicate that the victim is targeted and that the suspect may have performed the attack at the request of another person."
The trial was launched on November 7, but the police are just now releasing the video of the suspect. Officials said the woman he attacked ̵
"The injuries she encountered were completely devastating," said Kettles, noting how suspicious Hitman was with a crossbow commonly used by big-game hunters to kill elk and other large animals.
"It meant damage to many of her inner organs," Kettles added. "She will be in the recovery phase for the rest of her life … Her life will never be the same."
The authorities have identified "potential motives" for the attempt to kill, but refuse to say what they might be. They have asked for public help to find the suspect.
"We are open to something at this time," said kittens, "and we look at all possible pathways."
