Lancaster County critics praised the Shady Maple Smorgasbord buffet has announced its plans for a reopening.
Per Shady Maple’s Facebook page, “The Smorgasbord opens again on Thursday, July 9 at 7:00 am with a new contactless buffet model.”
In an effort to continue to feed some of its high-risk customers, the restaurant will continue offering “Meals To Go”. “We are ending our current Meals To Go program beginning July 4th to prepare for a new and improved launch on July 9th. 11am, reads Shady Maple’s Facebook post.
In accordance with the latest mandate from Gov. Tom Wolf, the restaurant will require all guests to wear a face mask during their visit, unless they are seated at a table. “We will provide all necessary precautions to move you through the buffet – to keep you and our team as safe as possible, “says the restaurant’s Facebook post.
Some of the other new regulations that will apply when Shady Maple reopens include: 50% capacity all the time, in accordance with social distance rules and guests will need to wear gloves when in the buffet line.
