Close Sharing is essentially the alternative to Apple AirDrop for easy copying of files between different compatible systems, but it only works on Apple platforms. In the case of Google, the feature is gradually activated on smartphones running Android 6.0 and later, which enables easy and fast transfer of files and links without having to upload them to a third-party service.
To make this possible, Share Share relies on various technologies such as Bluetooth, Bluetooh LE, webRTC or peer-to-peer Wi-Fi when needed. The Android menu has three privacy settings available, which also allows anonymous file uploads. At the moment, the feature is only available on Android smartphones, where Samsung and Google itself (Pixel) is one of the first to be activated.
