Acropolis Museum: Presentation of the History of the Statue of Athena – Culture

This year's anniversary on October 28 brings to life the Acropolis Museum the statue of Athena Virgo, made of gold and ivory, which Pheidias designed for the Parthenon. The museum invites its visitors to a walk with knowledge of its building materials and techniques, its myths and allegories, its radiation and adventure.

The presentations will be conducted by archaeologists-caretakers Greek (12:00, 14:00, 16:00 and 16:00) and English (23:00 and 15:00). Applications will be made the same day at the Museum Information Office, half an hour before the presentation begins. Applies to a limited number of visitors (up to 30 visitors per presentation).

The Special Exhibition on the Restoration and Great Work of the Acropolis Marble Craftsmen organized by the Commission and the Acropolis Preservation Service and set up by the Acropolis Museum will also be open. which covered entire walls, giving the visitor a feeling of being on the Acropolis rock and observing the work. the archaeological excavation will remain open from 8am to 6pm, with free entry. The restaurant will be open at the same time.
