A few weeks ago, Google sent out offers for a free Nest Mini to YouTube Premium subscribers, but people wanting to redeem the coupon quickly noticed that it wasn’t valid. Google backtracked and said the campaign was a mistake in the end. But it looks like someone in the company simply turned on UI right now too soon – YouTube and Google Play Music subscribers are now getting an actual working offer to get a free Nest Mini in the Google Store.
You may have already received an email or in-app notification if you are eligible for the deal, but if you have not, check this link to see if you are part of the promotion. It appears that the offer is only valid in the United States at this time, although Google does not mention any regional restrictions in its terms, so it may be expanded later. Google specifies that the speakers are available after the first accessory until June 30, so if you want another smart speaker in your house, be sure to grab it sooner rather than later.
The conditions are as follows:
Promotional code offer is provided by Google LLC and is subject to the following terms. The offer must be redeemed at 11:59 PM PDT on June 30, 2020 otherwise it will expire. Available only to users who are active paid members in an individual plan, student plan, or family plan for the YouTube Premium, YouTube Music Premium, or Google Play Music on May 19, 2020. Users must be active members whose membership is not paused at the redemption date. Each promotional code is valid for 1 redemption of a Nest Mini and will be available after the first mill, based on availability. Google reserves the right to change these Terms as required.
This is not the first time Google distributes its cheapest smart speakers for free. Last year, some lucky YouTube Premium and Google Assistant users were able to grab a Home Mini, and the offer was even expanded to other countries later.
