Yep, Gmail is down (for some).
Notice that your Gmail isn’t working the way you want it to be, nor is Google Drive or Hangouts Chat / Meet? That’s because there is a pretty big break in Google at the moment.
- UPDATE 9:33: Google has just added Calendar and regular Hangouts to the list of affected services.
- UPDATE 9:46: According to Google’s senior manager for engineer Urs Holzle, there was a router error in Atlanta that affected traffic in the region. It has been raised and “things should be back to normal now.”
Very sorry for that! We had a router error in Atlanta, which affected traffic routed through that region. Things should be back to normal now. Just to make sure this was not related to traffic levels or any kind of congestion, our network is not stressed by Covid-19. https://t.co/vZEJpkgRlo

Since Google is only investigating, we do not know how long things will be affected or what the problem is. But again, if you noticed that your Google apps work funky, Google is watching.
We will update this post as it develops. At this time, you should continue to check the status of Google apps here.
