JACKSON, Tenn. – Fred announced on Friday that the company will close 129 more stores, including several in West Tennessee.
The local stores included in the latest round of closures are those in Alamo, Henderson, McKenzie, Parsons and Trenton, according to a press release. You can see the entire closing list here.
Fred will also have stock sales in all stores "in an effort to refocus their product mix, simplify their business portfolio and repay debt," the release says.
The company can later evaluate the restart of certain closed stores according to a new operating model, according to the release.
After these closures, the company will have about 80 stores left.
