Back in prison for Myriam Badaoui, prosecutor of the Outreau case



Her lies led 17 people to jail before 13 of them were acquitted. Myriam Badaoui, an incestuous mother sentenced to 15 years in prison in the Outreau case, was sentenced to eight months in prison for "stealing" and "falsifying checks." Myriam Badaoui is an important actress in the case of sexual abuse in the early 2000s in Outreau (Nord-Pas-de-Calais). After her children condemned the sexual abuse she suffered with her husband Thierry Delay, Myriam Badaoui had supported the guilt of six of the suspects before retreating. These six suspects, originally convicted, were eventually acquitted on appeal.

In this case, a dozen children were found to be victims of sexual abuse . The postponement of the judicial process led to a political turnaround. An administrative inquiry concluded that there were no disciplinary errors on the part of the magistrate.
