Four things we discovered in Liverpool training when Alisson mocks teammates

With the Premier League return date now confirmed for June 17, Liverpool were back in full squad training for the first time on Thursday when Jurgen Klopp’s side stepped up their preparations.

The Reds need a maximum of just two wins to clinch the Premier League title next month and were in good spirits as they took a step closer to football’s return.

Friends reunited

After returning to training earlier this month, Liverpool are now back in full squad training and contact training after over two months of lockdown and virtual sessions over Zoom.

With everyone back at Melwood, the Red Stars could catch up and that meant a reunion for everyone̵

7;s favorite bromance – Mohamed Salah and Dejan Lovren!

However, the absence may not have the heart to grow after the duo had a heated moment on the camera before the last session began, which Lovren later posted on Instagram.

With the Croatian now entering the final year of his Liverpool contract and with his future at the club uncertain, entertaining fans will enjoy such moments while you can.

Fortunately, the duo remains as entertaining as ever!

“Another clean sheet”

The goalkeeper association was in full show at Melwood on Thursday.

Alisson liked to appear in front of the cameras and posed after every rescue when he denied a frustrated Gini Wijnaldum before joking “Another clean sheet again.”

And even when the Dutchman then chipped an extra ball over Brazilian heads, Adrian ran over to start it off the line a lot to entertain his teammates.

You may not pass

It was not only Liverpool’s first electorate that caught sight of the training. Veteran fourth pick Andy Lonergan was also.

Yet to kick a ball in competitive action for the Reds after signing as a goalkeeper cover last summer, he has really had his work cut out in training against one of the best front triangles on the planet.

But he was in fine form during one drill with a succession of rescues, and denied Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and then Sadio Mane one after the other with fine, flying dives in front of his impressed teammates.

Trent’s Trick Shot

Virgil van Dijk got a moment with a couple of spectacular tricks in training last week and curved home behind the goal.

No matter what the Dutch can do, Trent Alexander-Arnold can do better.

When Dejan Lovren looked at, the 21-year-old bent an equally impressive effort and got a playful kick from his co-defender for what the Croatian later joked was a wind-assisted effort.
