Four travelers moved to Florida from the Bahamas for medical treatment on Monday following a bus that transported Carnival Cruise Line passengers crashed on the island of Eleuthera.
Three passengers experienced serious injuries, including arm and leg fractures, internal injuries and possible paralysis, said Broward County's fire and rescue department in a statement.
The fourth patient's injuries were minor, the statement said.
28 people were treated at a Bahamas clinic and cleared to return to the ship, NBC Miami officials said.
The bus took cruise passengers on an "excursion trip" run by a third party vendor who was not immediately identified, a Carnival spokesman said. The bus was with 32 passengers from Ecstasy cruise ships when it crashed, said the spokesman.
