Final Fantasy 7 Remake is just a few days away, and finally delivers the first installment of a remaster that fans have been predicting for years. Square Enix previously boasted that it is as long as other Final Fantasy games, but it allows for a great deal of variation. So how many hours can you expect it to last?
Based on our experience, Final Fantasy 7 Remake will take about 40 hours to hit if you play it at regular pace with a few side quests. Completing all side quests and content in the playoffs will make the experience longer, about 45 hours.
Reviews have started to come in for FF7 Remake, and they seem largely positive. GameSpot’s FF7 Remake review from Tamoor Hussain glowed positively and awarded it a rare 1
“Regardless of your history with the original game, Final Fantasy VII Remake is an astonishing achievement,” Hussain wrote. “The wait for it to be released was long, but within games, story, characters and music it provides – the wait was worth it. For the first time players, it’s an opportunity to understand why Final Fantasy VII is held in such high regard. It’s the chance that experience a multifaceted story that fights with complex subjects, be in the company of memorable characters, and be moved by their difficulties. For returning fans, this is not the Final Fantasy VII that you remember, it’s what your heart always knew it would be. “
