Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk recently revealed that he does not use the Ethereum blockchain to build anything, and managed his approach to the second largest cryptocurrency through market value.
Musk’s comments came in response to a tweet published by famed Hollywood actor William Shatner, who claimed that Elon Musk last year, along with Ethereum’s founder Vitalik Buterin, “is deciding what to build on Ethereum.”
The Canadian actor, who is well known for his role as Captain Kirk on Star Trek, has been a cryptocurrency advocate for some time, at one point even releasing his own non-fungal token (NFT). One year after he tweeted out Musk and Buterin worked on Ethereum, the CEO responded to Tesla.
I̵7;m not building anything on ethereum. Not for or against it, just don’t use it or own anything.

In an odd tweet published in January this year, Musk said "bitcoin is * not * my safe word." While the tweet itself has never really been explained, COE has said over time that he is "neither here nor there on Bitcoin", but that he thought cryptocurrency's whitepaper was "very smart." In another tweet, he revealed that he "only" has 0.25 BTC.
