EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) – The El Paso Department of Public Health announced two new coronavirus-related deaths Wednesday morning.
The county’s death toll now stands at 280.
Health representatives identified the two victims; one was a woman in the 40s, and the other a man in the 90s. Both had underlying health conditions.
The health department also announced 285 new cases. This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 15,427. The number of active cases increased from 3,621 to 3,740 immediately available, but 11,407 recoveries have been reported.
Some good news is that there was a big decline in hospital admissions. There were 288 Covid-1
The number of ICU patients decreased from 96 to 85. There are 31 patients on ventilators.
Over the past seven days, an average of 10.49 percent of El Paso County tests have returned positive – a slight increase from the day before.
