On July 24, 2018, an ambulance Lovato rushed to the hospital, just one month after the singer admitted in her single "Sober" that she had relapsed after six years of sobriety.
Lovato broke her ilence two weeks later and wrote in a then-deleted Instagram post, "I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well. I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I have learned is that this disease is not something that disappears or fades over time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet. "
" So grateful for lessons I have learned this year, "she wrote on her Instagram story. " I will never take another day in life for granted, even the bad ones. "
