Darren Sproles is not finished yet, will return to eagles on one year's agreement

Over the past two years, the Eagles have been one of the best teams in the NFL, winning Super Bowl LII and then entering the second round of the playoffs last year. They have 26 wins in the last two seasons, behind just the patriots with 29.

And the Eagles fully expect to compete for a championship this season. Based on roster Howie Roseman put together, the team will be in the mix to win the Super Bowl Life in Miami.

So before the team left for the summer, Doug Pederson was asked a fairly simple question: Is it the best roaster that the eagles have had since he became head coach?

From a talented (point of view), you know, yes, I mean, I would say it's pretty good. I would say that you know, from an offensive skill (standpoint), that is probably the best thing we have entered into my fourth season.

"From a deep point of view, as I mentioned earlier, I think it corresponds to what we had entered into the 201

7 season. This is a violent sport, violent game … and I will not sit here and make predictions and put our team in a box so, but we still have to go coach and play games, of course. But on paper it looks like way.

Pederson is right. On paper you can certainly argue that this is the best roster he has had.

But he is also entitled to damage can change everything. It was the special of the 2017 season: despite the fact that damage to many important players continued, the eagles continued to roll. If Pederson is correct, then the depth of this roster is equal to the depth of the 2017 roster, which is quite important.

Pederson also underscored how good his skill player is this season by using the word "probably" before saying they are the best he has had. They are the most talented group he has had. Period. And this collection of recipients should be the best in Eagles history.

Let's take a closer look at the best skill positions at all four seasons during Pederson:

2016: Carson Wentz, Chase Daniel, Ryan Mathews, Darren Sproles, Kenjon Barner, Wendell Smallwood, Jordan Matthews, Nelson Agholor, Josh Huff, Doria Green-Beckham, Bryce Treggs, Zach Ertz, Brent Celek, Trey Burton

2017: Wentz, Nick Foles, LeGarrette Blount, Coil, Smallwood, Corey Clement, Alshon Jeffery, Torrey Smith, Agholor, Mack Hollins, Marcus Johnson, Shelton Gibson, Ertz, Celek, Burton

2018: Wentz, Foles, Nate Sudfeld, Jay Ajayi, Sproles, Clement, Smallwood Jefferson, Agholor, Wallace, Gibson, DeAndre Carter, Ertz, Goedert, Rodgers

2019: Wentz, Sudfeld, Clayton Thorson, Jordan Howard, Miles Sanders, Clement, Jeffery, Agholor, DeSean Jackson, JJ Arcega- Whiteside, Ertz, Goedert, Rodgers

I would undoubtedly take the 2019 group.

It is also important to note that these skill players can only do their jobs if the offensive line in front of them is good and – more important to this team – healthy. The eagles have some questions about health at their Olympics, but if that unit is solid, with these skills, this crime can be dynamic.

Of course, talent does not win alone. The eagles know it. But talent is a pretty good place to start. And this roster is full of it.
