Zdeněk Troška went down in the history of the Czech cinema forever as the author of the comedy series Sun, Hay. Pictures from it are popular even after years, which is sometimes annoying. This sometimes complicates the director’s maintenance of family ties.
It is known that Zdeněk Troška likes it very much in Hoštice, but he himself spoiled the idyll of the village there a bit. He shot the famous village film trilogy Sun, Hay in the Village, which made it famous once and for all.
The village has thus become another popular excursion destination in southern Bohemia. The famous filmmaker admits that even almost four decades after the premiere of the first part, tourists arrive. “She is still driving. It has been 37 years, people go there all the time, repeatedly,”
Fortunately, he has a bit of a good character, so among other things, he has no problem guiding visitors who are lucky enough to meet him to the places where it was filmed. At the same time, however, he admits that it also has its drawbacks.
“I have an aunt who lives down under the village and I can not go to her except in the morning or late at night. Why? Because I have to go through the village square. There are lots of people, buses, holidaymakers, tourists and I will not walk through the village square, ”added the director.
