Almost 12,000 people have already recovered from the infection, which is about 68 percent of those infected, 388 people with covid-19 have died. The key to the development of the epidemic is that the number of inpatients and those requiring intensive care does not change significantly. According to the latest information, 121 patients were treated with coronavirus in hospital, of which 15 were in serious condition, according to the Ministry of Health’s website.
Recently, the number of infections has increased by a thousand in just five days, and this trend continues. After one weekend drop a week, more than two hundred more cases a day – on Monday 209 and Tuesday 289, the most since the end of June. This is similar to the pace of spring, when the country was in an emergency situation and restricted free movement, business and daily activities. Following the abolition of zoning measures, stricter rules are now being introduced, for example to wear veils or hold mass events, only in places with local outbreaks.
By far the most affected district remains Frýdek-Místek, where there are almost 78 new cases of covid-19 in the last seven days per 100,000 inhabitants. In the last week, the Karviná region registers about 23 newly infected per 100,000 inhabitants, Prachatice and Prague over twenty. Other districts are under twenty cases per 100,000 inhabitants. This figure is only zero in the districts of Rokycany, Děčín and Jeseník.
