Most people who play Call of Duty for longer than six to eight hours required to complete the campaign will be integrated into the multiplayer mode. That's why Treyarch's decision to remove a traditional campaign from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is meaningful. I've already written a lot about how the latest Call of Duty game aims to be one for fans, hardcore players and people returning to the game time after time. Trimming of fat of modes that players barely log in for a few hours, Treyarch leaves free to really focus on tuning and perfection of the multiplayer aspect of the game, where most fans will invest their time.
Black Ops 4 has a lot to do For that, with multiplayer solo ops workouts for the specialists, three complete Zombies campaigns, and Blackout, Treyarchs takes on the battle of royal mania. They do not show much yet, so I only had the opportunity to download multiplayer in last week's revealing event, but it also showed some great leaps for the series.
Perhaps above all the crazy vertical movement we saw in Black Ops 3 is now gone. There is no more rush or jump jumping, so the fighter remains determined grounded. It's anything but slow. While Treyarch may roll back on the crazy elements, they have retained the incredibly smooth flowing movement around the environment. The studio's commitment to "guns" is more present than ever, and as I tend to know Treyarch games, Black Ops 4 feels just great to run in. It was something I noted with Black Ops 3's movement, that it was fun even when you failed. ”
is still fun to play.
All special (ist)
Specialists make a return, this time with dedicated pockets and roles that each fills. I hate doing the comparison with Overwatch for Black Ops 4 is not Overwatch but I mean Overwatch . Weapons are a completely separate system, but each specialist has a capability (triggered by the R1 button) and a super (triggered by holding down L1 + R1). Specialists are limited to one of each type per team, and with what looks like ten total specialists so far. Matches are 5v5, so there are plenty of specialists to choose if your favorite choice is to be chosen. They play roles that extend from frontline attacks to support devices like medics. Yes, Call of Duty has a medicine class, and you can enjoy and succeed without feeling that you have to throw the death / death ratio.
It's actually much of what makes this Black Ops 4 so different. In some way, Treyarch took a game that feels like Call of Duty plays as Call of Duty and even smells Call of Duty and they've done It's more tactical and team-focused. You can still be the lone gunman who puts up at the top of the leaderboard, but there are more opportunities for different game styles to find a modicum of success. Small changes like the ability to see an opponent's health calculator (something I'm used to playing in Destiny PVP) and manually triggering health care makes me feel like playing the game on my own terms. 19659003] Guns are also reworked to every sense that they have their own unique character. Attachments will no longer be universal to an entire class of weapons, but each weapon will have its own set of attachments to really highlight the forces and game styles for that particular weapon. In a short demonstration it's hard to really get a feel of this work, and I'm sure it's something like more casual players that I do not even notice. The micro details of each weapon are absolutely essential for people who play a lot, but this feature is definitely aimed at players who will spend a lot of time in this game.
More than Expected
I did not expect much from catching Black Ops 4 multiplayer but was surprised at how much this step of Call of Duty comes to change. Call of Duty fans still find the game they know and love, but Treyarch really tries to push on the edges of experience to make people think about what Call of Duty is and may be.
Impact of other Activision features (specifically Destiny and Overwatch ) really shines, especially for someone like me who shakes away from Call of Duty's fast focus on killing and succeeding as a lone Wolf. I mean, Blizzard Jeff Kaplan turned out to reveal the power. Of course, he talked about bringing Black Ops 4 to Battle.net, but it's still good to see that these teams work together and collaborate with ideas to make each of their experiences the best they can be . 19659003] It is of course only part of the full experience. In the meantime, leading to October, we launch more about the three Zombies and Blackout Call of Duty deals with the popular battle of Royal Game Mode. With every Call of Duty developer who approaches the series differently, I'm pleased to see Activision so that the studios have the opportunity to develop the game they really want to do, even if it's escalating from the traditional. No promotion is a bold move, but trimming the fat allows Treyarch to really pinpoint how long players and fans love about their game, and the smooth, tactical and class-based multiplayer already shows these fruits.
