A fast-growing weapon fire forced thousands of residents from their homes in northern California on Thursday morning.

Camp Fire has burned nearly 8 square miles Butte County, which is located about 90 miles north of Sacramento, according to Cal Fire. It was not immediately known if there were injuries or deaths.

"This fire is very dangerous, evacuate if you are asked to do it!" Sa Cal Fire officials on Twitter. Dozens of resources were called from across the state.

An evacuation order was issued for areas of Paradise, a city of approximately 27,000 people, said Butte County Sheriff Office. The firemen said the firemen worked to access the area when the fan continued to spread.

Social media foods from the area described extreme congestion and cool evacuations.

In paradise, Adventist Health Feather River said the hospital had evacuated its patients to other area hospitals because of the fire.

Shary Bernacett said that she and her husband were trying to make people leave the mobile home park as they managed in paradise, with just a few minutes to evacuate as the fireplace approached.

The two "knocked on the doors, yelled and screamed" to warn as many of the residents as 53 caravans and recreational vehicles can leave.

"My husband tried his best to get everyone out. The whole litter is on fire. God helps us!" "Bernacett said."

The couple grabbed their dog, jumped in their pickup and drove through flames before they arrived for safety on Highway 99, she said.

Butte County Sheriff told residents on Twitter that "if you can not take big animals leave them in open pastures and leave food. Do not lock them in a barn."

Heavy ashes were reported to fall as far as Chico, about 14 miles west of

The risk of fire hazard was high throughout Thursday, AccuWeather said.

"The combination of ongoing drought, high wind and very low relative humidity will lead to dangerous conditions for the fire in parts of California," said National Weather Service. Widespread red flag warnings are also in force.
